Simona I hope that 2013 is more than you could ever hope for. Have a fantastic New Year.

My Italian Smörgåsbord

bellissima foto Simona and Happy New Year!! ps: hai ragione, fare il panettone senza impastatrice non e' la stessa cosa. magari per il 2013 la befana ti portera' un'impastatrice?

Simona Carini

Thank you so much, Val! Same to you and your family.

Simona Carini

Grazie, Barbara, e auguroni anche a te e alla tua famiglia.
Se la chiedessi lo farebbe, ma obiettivamente fare il panettone e' l'unica cosa per la quale la userei.

This IS an inviting presentation, indeed! Happy New Year! oxox

I like your composition and I like that you mentioned your Lightroom Preset you used. I'm still struggling with Lightroom, but hope to understand it more. Lovely photo! Happy New Year!

Lovely photo! Looking at all that beautiful kale, suddenly, I'm thinking about soup.

Good idea to say what you did to change the colour photo into black and white. I used IrfanView to change my colour photo - first by desaturating. Then I upped the contrast a tiny bit. To make it sepia toned, I altered the colour balance by +15 R, +5 G and -10 B

(I just noticed that the submitted photo is supposed to be no more than 500px wide. Oh oh. If you want me to resend, please let me know.)

Happy New Year!!

Simona Carini

Thanks, Paz. Happy New Year to you too!

Hi Lynne and Happy New Year to you too! I also just got Lightroom and I am fumbling a bit with it. When I use a preset in the future, I'll make sure I record it in the post.

Thanks, Elizabeth! Don't worry about resending your image. Happy New Year to you too!
