For the past 10 days or so, bright sunny days have fallen asleep into freezing nights. This is not an unusual occurrence in the area where I live, but this year it has happened early and it is lasting longer than I remember.
In the morning, it is difficult to convince my body cocooned in warm blankets to get up and walk into a chilly house. But when I pull up the shades, my eyes smile at the sight of the embroidered grass and bushes.
The parsley I still have in my small patch does not loo particularly pleased early in the day. Later on, though, as the sun manages to raise the temperature, it appears to make peace with the weather and the world.
This is my contribution to edition #109 of Black and White Wednesday - A Culinary Photography Event created by Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook, now organized by Cinzia of Cindystar, and hosted this week by Urvashi of Budding Homemaker.
The photo was shot in color and then converted to black and white (Lightroom preset Split Tone 1).
On this page, you can find out who is hosting the current and future editions of the event.
